Encouragement – a source of power

I had occasion recently to discuss the power and impact of encouragement with some friends. It was a great discussion as we remembered times when people had lifted our spirits us through some of our toughest times.

The encouragement was sometimes in words, written and spoken, but not always. Sometimes it was just listening. Just being there. Just being available. Just being.

We also agreed that encouragement is mutually beneficial – it makes us both feel good.

So, choose your words carefully – be sensitive and thoughtful. May they become a source of power to someone who needs it.
